codeHive is the AkiraChix signature program. It is a one-year fully sponsored residential hands-on technical training program. It provides education and economic opportunity to young women between 19 and 24 years from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds who have completed high school but are unable to further their education due to financial constraints.

Applicants must meet these minimum requirements after completing high school:

Be a young women between the ages of 19 and 24 years.
Completed High School no later than Dec 2023.
Possess a high school results slip (KCSE, CSEE, UACE, ESSLCE, MSCE, GCE, & Rwanda Advanced Certificate of Education).
Fluent in spoken and written English.
Be a citizen of Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia or come from the refugee communities in Kenya.
Have either a National ID or Alien ID of your respective country of origin.
A recommendation letter from an authority figure, known to you who is not a relative.
Available full-time to live and learn in the AkiraChix Campus from January to December 2025
Do not possess a diploma, degree or enrolled in a tertiary institution
