Our Model

We recruit, highly motivated, self-driven young women between the ages of 19-24 from underserved communities.

We employ project-based learning and are committed to providing a solid technical skills training foundation.

There is a huge emphasis on the leadership of self and others, we want to ensure that we build up their interpersonal, critical, creative, and leadership skills.

The students also spend 1 month in out of class community service to encourage and build a spirit of giving back to the community.
Through our codeHive program, AkiraChix plays an integral role to ensure generations of African women not only get out of a cycle of poverty and unemployment but also take the lead as global tech innovators. Innovators who provide customised solutions for their communities to end the cycle of poverty and bolster economic growth.
