We’re excited to announce that AkiraChix will be hosting coding camps for primary and high school students this November during the long school holidays.
As part of our long-term strategy to create individual identities for our programs and activities, we’ve rebranded these coding camps. We’re creating young hardcore geniuses and developers with a wealth of creativity and problem-solving skills, harnessing the power of technology.
Our target audience for genius skwad is boys and girls aged between 6 and 11. We’re going to teach them how to program their own interactive stories, games and animations.
While this program was initially targeted at girls only, we are now accepting boys into the Dev Skwad. The target audience is boys and girls aged between 12 and 18. We’ll be teaching them how to combine mechanical, electrical and software engineering to design, as well as assemble and program a robot using arduino
These camps are to be hosted between Monday 14th and Friday 18th November 2016 from 9a.m to 3p.m daily at the AkiraChix office (Ground Floor, Bishop Magua Center, Ngong Road).
Cost per student is 10,000KES, and includes snacks, lunch and materials.
If you’re interested in participating, please fill out this form by Friday, 11th November 2016. Share this with interested parties as well.
