Objectives
Mobile Garage is a program funded by Infodev and to be implemented by Akirachix. The aim of the program is to create sustainable businesses for the knowledge economy through mobile applications for development, business incubation and technology entrepreneurship. Akirachix will be targeting university students in the first program cycle.The Objectives of the program are: Create a social networking hub, Encourage the creation of mobile applications, Create a competition for ideas to encourage entrepreneurship, Establish mentorship for developers

Mobile Apps Showcase

This year the Mobile Garage Student’s Exhibition will be held on May 11 at the iHub Nairobi starting from 9:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. On this day students from universities and colleges from all over Kenya will showcase their mobile applications and compete for the three top prizes. The theme of the event is ‘Solutions for the Next Billion mobile users’. This Mobile App Showcase introduces the next generation of developers and tech-entrepreneurs.
