Last year, AkiraChix hosted it’s inaugural annual African Women in Tech conference on 1st November 2014, with more than 300 people  in attendance, including women working in the kenyan tech industry, University students and education experts from various Institutions in Kenya. Objective of the event

The goal of this events is to :-

  • Create opportunities for collaboration and partnerships through networking
  • Sparking creativity and innovation through hands on training sessions
  • Expose attendees to opportunities for employment, incubation and funding
  • Allow for showcasing of interesting business ideas
  • Engage in discussions on promoting women building solutions for Africa

This one day event will involve the following activities

  • A keynote speech
  • Career/Jobs Fair with different tech companies in Kenya
  • Practical training sessions on different tools and skillsets
  • Break out discussions around the conference goals
  • Panel sessions with women leaders
