Judy Njiiri Class of 2016
My day starts at six in the morning and some of us are usually in class early doing their personal duties, complete assignments, and some just can’t stand the environment at home.
Classes begin at 9am with a word of prayer led by the student on duty.
Our first break is usually at 12pm. We break for lunch which is provided by AkiraChix. It is also a great time to catch up on our assignments, and interact with other members of our community at Bishop Magua (the building where we are located). At around 1:30 we are back to class ready to start the next lesson at 2pm. The afternoon class stretches till 4 pm.
Classes run till Saturday each week. What I love about how lessons are planned at Akirachix is the fact that there is a flow that enables us to plan our time well, keeping in mind that time is the most important thing in a human’s life.
We often receive visitors at least daily and every so often prominent people from around the world. These are opportunities I never imagined in my wildest dreams.
Each day in AkiraChix is a new learning experience…
