AkiraChix Design BootCamp has begun!

Despite the ongoing matatu strike in the country, young girls aged between 15 and 18 made their way to Bishop Magua Building this morning, ready and eager to get started on this design bootcamp, led by Nyandia Kamawe.

They were introduced to AkiraChix by our president, Judith Owigar, before getting down to business.

The training, which aims at introducing the girls to elements and principles of Graphic design, as well as exploring various means means of indicating visual elements in page design, runs from the 3rd to 14th of December of this year. Some students from the AkiraChix training program are also going to be helping out, giving them a chance to put into practice what they have learned in Nyandia’s design class over the past three months.
